FOR THE SUPPLY AND RETAILING OF CERTIFIED CEREAL SEED UNDER 2021/22 AFFORDABLE INPUTS PROGRAMME (AIP)

- The Government of Malawi (GoM) acting through Ministry of Agriculture has budgeted resources for procurement certified cereal seeds under Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP). The Ministry intends to apply part of the funds for payment of contracts for supply and retailing of certified cereal.
- Ministry of Agriculture, now invites bids from eligible companies that are registered with Seed Services Unit (SSU) as seed producers, to supply and retail seed to AIP beneficiaries in all selling points, in all districts of Malawi, in the following estimated quantities.

- National Competitive Bidding (NCB) will be conducted in accordance with the National Procurement Laws.
- Supplier shall undertake to retail cereal seed to smallholder farmers using electronic system developed by Procuring and Disposing Entity.
- Bidder shall demonstrate willingness and have ability to pack the seed in required quantity, transport and store the seed in all retailing areas in all EPAs across the country.
- A complete set of Bidding Documents is to be sold to interested bidders at non-refundable fee of Five thousand kwacha (MK5, 000.00) cash.
- Completed bids, accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration must be deposited in the Tender Box, placed at Procurement and Disposal Unit, Capital Hill, Ministry of Agriculture, First Floor, Room 76, at or before 22nd June 2021, 14:00 hours (2 pm), and addressed to:

Late bids shall be rejected
- Bids shall remain valid for 120 days after the deadline for bid submission.
- There will be mandatory pre-bid meeting with all prospective bidders on 8th June 2021, which will be held at Ministry of Agriculture conference room at 2:00 pm

- Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or bidders’ representatives who may

Agriculture Headquarters, Capital Hill, 1st Floor, Conference Room.
