Irrigation development supports the expansion and sustainable management of irrigated agriculture to increase agricultural production, productivity and resilience in Malawi.

The Department works with farmers, water users, development partners and other stakeholders to develop irrigation systems that support increased agricultural production and sustainable management of water and land resources.
